Access All Arts

Building brand advocacy

By sparking and celebrating the creativity of over 368,000 primary school children in the UK and Ireland.

The unmet need

The arts have a critical role to play in developing the skills and behaviours that lead children to do better in school. In fact, studies show that participating in creative activities encourage self-expression, build confidence, develop communication and critical thinking skills and a sense of identity. Yet, participation and uptake of the arts in education is in decline. Schools face a “creativity crisis” and the number of creative arts students and teachers is down by as much as a fifth.

Why Sky Arts?

Sky Arts is a committed supporter of the Arts. It broadcasts a variety of original arts programming to showcase diverse artistic talent and exposes viewers to a wide range of artistic expressions.

In 2020 they supercharged their mission to increase access to and drive participation in the arts, by throwing open the doors and making the channel free to air. As part of this mission, Access All Arts was set up in recognition that art in all its various forms is an essential arm to every young person’s education.

Access All Arts

Enabling every child to Access All Arts early

We created the Access All Arts movement and programme to enable Sky to inspire children, their parents and educators in primary schools across the nation to be art enthusiasts. The programme re-ignites arts participation in classrooms each summer term, supercharging creativity with world-renowned artists, organisations and experts. Our understanding of young people and education enabled us to inspire teachers to embrace the arts in the classroom in ways that unlock creativity, confidence and skills.

“We Are Futures are integral partners on Sky Arts’ Access All Arts, an important programme for us which gives every primary age child in the UK and Ireland the opportunity to experience the arts at a vital time. Access All Arts has delivered for us as a brand, and positively impacted the perception of Sky Arts which is vital to our continued success.
